Dataset: Canada’s national AI governance system (2024)
Anonymized aggregate data from interviews with 20 government leaders and subject matter experts. Data was collected from February 2023 to July 2023. The dataset contains 610 topics that collectively represent the most significant components of Canada’s national AI governance system that emerged over the course of the interviews.
Dataset: Canadian AI governance initiatives from 2017-2022 (2023)
Aggregate data from a review of 84 Canadian AI governance initiatives launched from 2017-2022. Data was primarily collected from January 2022 to March 2022, with supplementary data added from March 2022 to December 2022. The dataset categorizes federal and provincial initiatives into 5 intervention types and 8 governance areas to determine Canada’s AI governance priorities and gaps.
Freedom of Information Request: Shared Services Canada AI Program & AI Centre of Excellence (2023)
Records received in response to an Access to Information Act (ATIA) request to Shared Services Canada (SSC) in March 2023.
The inventory and release package contain records pertaining to the SSC Artificial Intelligence Program and AI Centre of Excellence.
